In 1931, Universal released "Frankenstein," co-starring Dwight Frye. Frye portrayed Dr. Henry Frankenstein’s hunchbacked assistant, Fritz, with such brilliance that the role would become a famous horror icon that would eventually type cast him.
Frye threw himself into the role of Fritz with a "method" approach. Once in makeup, he would creep about the sound stage and "scare the hell out of everyone!" never breaking character and as a result, could be more frightening than the Monster in between takes.
It is Frye’s portrayal of the hunchbacked dwarf that is the true villain of the film. We watch in horror as Fritz constantly provokes and tortures the Monster with whip and torch, all with sadistic glee, and as a result he becomes the first victim at the Monster's hands.
This figure has over 20 points of articulation and features the likeness of Dwight Frye. It comes with a highly detailed cloth outfit, a brain with jar (label says NORMAL BRAIN), short walking stick and stone textured foot base. This toy contains sharp points and small parts and is recommended for ages 5 and up.
